The Following Statement Was Released By The Phillip Bischoff Campaign on his race against Chad McCoy:

**STATEMENT FROM PHILIP BISCHOFF ANNOUNCING WITHDRAWAL FROM THE RACE FOR THE REPUBLICAN NOMINATION FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 50**

Today Philip Bischoff Jr. announces he has withdrawn from the race for the Republican nomination for state representative District 50 opposing Chad McCoy. Bischoff is withdrawing because of a few recent events that have come to light. While Bischoff was actively campaigning on Social Media he was getting reports that some people that had responded positively to some of his campaign statements – would later be contacted by email or instant messenger. Bischoff was personally attacked with false information that related to his family in these emails or instant messages. Philip’s first priority is his children and his family.

Given the recent anonymous mailer and other underhanded dirty tricks in local politics Philip has decided it is in the best interest of him and his family to withdraw from the race. “The horrible false information being spread in a coordinated campaign against my character is not going to be allowed to further injure my children or family” further saying “I encourage the person or people behind this to ask for God’s mercy and to evaluate if politics or a political position is worth destroying a family and my 2 boys over, for me it is not, therefore I withdraw from this race.

I have asked Don Thrasher to get in this race and fight for conservative values. Don is far from perfect, his motivation for everything he does in politics is to make sure the little guy, the average person is treated fairly. He is not a rich elitist that will do anything to win at any cost. Don is a good man that tries to represent Republican and Conservative values.

”“I would like to thank all of the people that supported me and hope you can understand why I have made this decision” – Philip Bischoff
