Wesley Heinz, 27 The Accused Drug Dealer Arrested in Death of Nelson County Man

On Sunday, January 10th 2021, deputies with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Nat Rogers Road in reference to a death investigation. A 23 year old male was found deceased in a vehicle. An autopsy is pending but it is believed the cause of death is a heroin overdose.
The investigation led to a search warrant being signed and executed at a residence on Nelsonville Road. At the conclusion of that search warrant, one subject was detained and taken to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office for questioning.  Wesley Heinz, 27 years old of Boston was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail for Trafficking in a controlled substance – Heroin, Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Manslaughter 2nd.
